Follow a small question
Everyday moments can become conversations. What do you notice on the way home? Which colours can you find in a picture? There is room to wonder together without turning every moment into a lesson.
Let a story wander
Revisit a familiar book and invite a different ending. Draw a character, talk about a favourite picture or let your child tell you what might happen next. Listening is part of the shared experience.
Notice patterns together
Look for similarities and differences in things around you. Talk about shapes, compare sizes or make a simple pattern together using materials suitable for your child.
Leave room for their idea
A child’s plan may be different from an adult’s plan. Make space for that. The conversation, exploration and shared attention can matter as much as the thing you finish making.
Let’s talk about your next step.
